mdutch
Does anyone know what the OA Sash is made out of or does anyone have experience ironing it (ie. does it melt easily, that sort of thing) Thanks, Eric
briantshore
I do not know what it is made out of, but as a boy scout in the late 70's I would iron my sash after it was washed. I do not know if they are made different now. I have just got back in to scouting and I do not have a sash. I was planning to buy a new one to replace my original one, whereabouts unknown. ASM7
I've always hand washed mine no bleach and hung to dry. If needed iron with low heat.
Greying Beaver
I think it's made from a cotton broadcloth, similar to the material used in Dickies khakis. It's double-sided with the arrow embroidered on the top side. I have two. The one that I wear most of the time that now has some ground-in dirt in places and the one I wear to troop elections, annual lodge banquets, etc., the still clean white one.
