Joni4TA
I am glad they came up with something at the PLC. We just finished our Popcorn fundraiser, but as always we need more money Some boys were raring to go and sell chocolate bars before Thanksgiving and Christmas, and others were aprehensive. Looks like we've come to a compromise - we are waiting until all monies are in and commission is paid from Council for the popcorn. Then we're off into chocolate land! Wish us luck! scoutldr
Good Luck! I always found it a lot easier to sell 30 $1 candy bars than one $30 tin of popcorn.
scottteng
Ditto that and the boys like it because a lot of the older people give em the buck and tell them to eat the candy bar for them we try not to make their shift so long that they get sick. Check out Walmart or Sams stores they will match your profits and let you sell at the door.
mschwartz
The Pack that my boys came up with sold candy bars every year as a fundraiser. That was the only fundraiser they did, and they did extremely well at it. We used to buy the prepackaged cases of candy bars from one of the fundraising companies; the last few years they bought cases of bars at BJ's and that way the boys could customize their boxes. (One of our committee members found plain white "suitcase" boxes and we put the bars in those.) And now this year the high school Music Boosters are selling candy bars too. Lots of sugar in town. scoutmaster52
Instea of the fundraising companies, try to buy the candy from a BJ or a Sams club. The cost on the bars tend to be less expensive so your profit tends to be higher. In any case It aways turns out that the same boys who put the effort into popcorn will be doing the candy sales.
