SSScout
We REALLY need a "Faith and Chaplaincy" forum/department/area/section, whatever.... Merl and his good friends (not to be confused with "Friends", RSo), have taken the opportunity to assuage the concerns of some of us as 21 May approaches... (see http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/01/04/may-21-2011-judgment-day_n_804166.html ) If you, as a BAC, are enraptured away, then you need not fear for the care of your pets. This group (http://eternal-earthbound-pets.com/ ) will, for a small registration fee , come and adopt your dog/cat/goldfish/rabbit/budgie and care for them, at least until there is no longer a need to care for them. Old_OX_Eagle83
I wonder what this group will have to say on May 22, or do they plan of drinking Kool-Aid, Jim Jones style?
Scoutfish
The world is not going to end on May 21st. Matter of fact, I as so absolutely sure the world won't end, I will bet every single member of this site $1,000,000 that it won't end. But, if the world does end, I will pay up! moosetracker
*Sigh*.. I have an IOLS & OWLS course running on the 21 & 22 .. It has a low turnout.. I think it is because everyone wants to stay home with loved ones for the end of the world rather then be with me getting trained.. Why did they have to go and rain on my parade?? Wouldn't May 23 or 24 been just as good?? (this message really WASN'T edited by a moderator, it was just moved from the other forum) (This message has been edited by a staff member.) packsaddle
Flavor Aid, FLAVOR AID!!! Sheesh, you guys are killing me....how many times do I have to write this, Jim Jones did not give his followers Kool Aid, it was Flavor Aid!
packsaddle
Here's a really short list of just the very recent wrong predictions about 'doomsday'. http://www.2think.org/hundredsheep/skeptic/predictions.shtml Me, I happen to know that the rapture already happened back in 1996. No biggie. We're all 'left behind' together..wooohooo! http://www.aolnews.com/2011/01/06/doomsday-after-many-predictions-were-still-here/ check it out for even more fun! Eamonn
Ed, I have to wonder if it's a Devils Food Cake or an Angel Foods cake? Either way I bet it is just heavenly! Ea.
CalicoPenn
So when the rapture occurs on May 21, and all these people who are preparing for the rapture aren't taken up, will they turn their back on God and declare that there is no God, or will they cry and moan because they quit their jobs and spent all their money and now want the taxpayers to bail them out? packsaddle
Calico, they're in fantasy land. The rapture already happened back in 1996, I already told you that. So look around, you can see the answer to your question. Other than someone copping a feel once in a while when you are trying to get on an aircraft, not much has changed. CalicoPenn
Pack - I can assure you that the rapture didn't happen in 1996. I was pretty busy that year and never got around to initiating it. Of course, had you been drinking the kool aid instead of the flavor aid, you might know that.
SSScout
Yes, that is all well and good (to make a moral judgement) but would you like someone to care for your pet? Jesincase?
