GernBlansten
Gotta do a little Mia culpa. It was only $25,000 the MSP had to fork over to make the bath rooms at the airport arrest safe for all the republicans coming to the convention. http://www.startribune.com/local/11591011.html (This message has been edited by gernblansten)

Joni4TA
Add another ignorer to Trev's list... his excessive use of the word hello just really got my goat. I found it extremely antagonistic

OldGreyEagle
Speaking as a native of Chicago, well, I was born there and raied in the Western suburbs, I do wonder why no political convention has come there since '68. C'mon, so Mayor Dayley's cops got a little enthusiastic, surely all the cops who were on active duty back then have retired or gone on to desk jobs. Why must Chicago be stigmatized forever, I say its about time for a political party to come back to Chicago for its convention. Actually, Chicago politics being what it is, I guess there is only one possible party who would come, and that is the one in Denver this year. I mean goss ole golly ole gee whizz, I am sure this Mayor Daley's police would be much better behaved, not that some of the Yippies didnt deserve some of what they got
CalicoPenn
OGE, When Barack Obama becomes President, I wouldn't be surprised to see the next DNC convention in Chicago. He's moved a significant portion of the staff there already. Calico

John-in-KC
Is anybody there? Does anybody care? Does anybody see what I see? They want to me to quit; they say John, give up the fight Still to England I say Good night, forever, good night! For I have crossed the Rubicon Let the bridge be burned behind me Come what may, come what may Commitment! The croakers all say we'll rue the day There'll be hell to pay in fiery purgatory Through all the gloom, through all the gloom I see the rays of ravishing light and glory! Is anybody there? Does anybody care? Does anybody see what I see? I see fireworks! I see the pagaent and Pomp and parade I hear the bells ringing out I hear the cannons roar I see Americans - all Americans Free forever more How quiet, how quiet the chamber is How silent, how silent the chamber is Is anybody there? Does anybody care? Does anybody see what I see? ... John Adams (as sung by William Daniels), 1776 the musical (Broadway and film)
