jbroganjr
Can anyone help me find plans to build a compressed air water-bottle rocket launcher, the type used to launch 2 liter bottles that are half filled with water? I need this for an upcoming camporee. Tx J
SR540Beaver
Try this site: http://www.smoke.com.au/~ic/water-rocket.html I found it by doing a Google search for "water rocket". There were tons of sights to view.
hops_scout
We did water rocket in Science earlier in the school year. I will see if I can get this information from my teacher at school tomorrow.
wffarrell
I am a skeptic. When my son built one of these water rockets as a cub scout and brought it home, I looked at it and thought "right, this is going to be a non-event". You know the rest of the story! I was out in the front yard launching 2-liter bottles a hundred yards up! For hours. Couldn't get enough of launching. It was a blast. Oh, yeah! Our launcher got stepped on during a frost and broke, but I still have the pieces and maybe I'll just repair it this weekend and give our new neighbors something to talk about! regards, bill
dan
A heads up, we made water rockets at a training event, we where told if you do this, make sure you only use virgin bottles, one little scratch in the plastic and it may explode. Not sure about this but a heads up anyway.
hops_scout
Dan, that is very true. You need to store the bottles in a good storage area. It can't have acces to the sun either.
