SouthPoleScout
I orginally posted this in the open forum, but perhaps it would be more appropriate here. Scouts & Discrimination Posted: Tuesday, February 20, 2001: 5:19:36 PM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I dont know if this is a national policy or not, but I thought Id share the info with the rest of you.... Today a Scout from our local troop went to Sears to inquire about a donation for his Eagle Project. The manager of the Sears store told him that because of the current discrimination issues Sears is no longer making donations to Boy Scouts. I love my Craftsman tools...but this gives me pause about doing further business with Sears. Anyone else been turned away for similar requests and reasons - where and why? ********* And if you're really interested some non-Scout responses, I posted the same issue at Military.com http://forums.military.com/1/OpenTopic?q=Y&a=frm&s=78919038&f=415197802
