Beavah
"If you don't have a beaver leading, the rest of the critters just wander around aimlessly" Yah, ain't that da truth. End of a great summer, lots of time and adventures in da field, 100th Anniversary. More things draw us together than pull us apart, especially our love of kids, the outdoors, and Scouting. Let's hear from everybody loudly and with gusto, if not with tune. I used to be a Beavah and a good ol' Beaver too, Now I'm finished Beavering I don't know what to do. I'm growing old and feeble And I can Beaver no more So I'm going to work my ticket if I can... Back to Gilwell, Happy Land! I'm going to work my ticket if I can. BDPT00
One of my pet peeves ... People don't know the words to the song. None right so far. Bobwhites, it's your try. If you're going to sing it, especially if you're a staffer modeling for others, do it right. BDPT00

BDPT00
Well, since you've only sung the song a dozen times so far, there's time to fix things before your course is over. You don't need to believe me, so look it up, print it, and share it with whomever is teaching you the wrong words. It's always the same two phrases. Plenty of ways to sing it wrong; one way to sing it right, and you may as well do that now. I used to be a Bear AND A good old Bear too, BUT NOW I'VE finished Bearing .... Everybody seems to get the rest of the song just fine, but this is so often learned uncorrectly, and then sung that way for the rest of your life, including as a staffer. May as well get it right from the start. Good luck with it. No sense in doing it wrong when you can do it right. Be sure to look it up. You'll need to print it, because nobody will believe you.
