Eamonn
I was the Scoutmaster for troop 429 at the last jamboree. We used wall tents that were passed on to our council camp, for use at summer camps to come. Each patrol had two Colman double burner gas stoves, with the Jambo rig. We used the regular dining flies. Which we will change next time, opting for the framed things that look like a garage ?? Another change we will make is with the tent stakes/ pegs. Last time we used wooden pegs/stakes. It was over a hundred in the shade, the earth was baked and the stakes kept breaking. Next time we will use stakes made out of rebar.
eagle90
I was Jambo Scoutmaster in 1997. Our Council purchased Eureka Timberline Outfitters for our troops. They are durable, fold small, and are a good value. We used the standard BSA canvas dining flies.
nldscout
We used Eureka Timberline 4man tents, and BSA wall tents for Leaders. BSA standard Dining Fly's, but I am pushing council for metal framed tarps. Make things much easier. 2 burner propane stoves. Electic lanterns eat batteries so quick and you have no way to charge them. We had some of the Yard lights that recharge from the sun to give us a little light to get around the troop area at night.
