How Many Schools Do You Recruit From?

1/2 of one, and 1/2 of another, so 1 total.

 

We "share" our school with an "ethnic" Pack in this same town. And we "share" the elementary school that is halfway between our town and the next town, which also has a Pack.

We get 2500 flyers for fall recruiting,

and drop them off at as many 1-5th grade classrooms as we can at 12 different schools.

 

We average 3 or 4 boys per school for the pack.

 

Since we are the only non LDS pack covering a HUGE are in west phoenix, DE's from 3 districts send kids our way. but we don't usually get or keep the ones that are further away than the 3-4 closest schools to where we meet.

Hello 5 Year Scouter,

 

 

There are eight schools fairly near my pack I could recruit from. I've sent flyers home at four schools and visited schools at lunch and handed out sticker invitations to our recruiting night at four schools.

 

We've had four boy paid at our recruiting night. Tough sell.

 

 

I ought to take a page from your book and send flyers home at all eight schools in the spring. The council has a lot of flyers....

Our district puts flyers in all the schools and we have a district recruiting night where all the packs are represented. I don't know how many schools it comes out to, but I wouldn't be surprised to find we have kids from 20 different schools in the pack. There ends up being virtually no tie between any given school and a given pack.

One school and one church. For the most part, we like what we get.

 

Got some boys from a nearby pack that failed, and I'd like to give half of them back.
