Leave NoTrace - multiple years

My son and his Den received the Leave No Trace Awareness Award last year as Wolf scouts. This year, to receive the Outdoor Activity Award as a Bear, the rank requirement is to receive the LNT. I am very much in favor of going through the requirements of LNT at each rank, so we did just that. What do other Packs do for the LNT award for multiple years? Do you give the patch for each year? It would be great to have a rank-LNT patch to go along with the main LNT patch. I don't see it as necessary to have the full patch awarded each year.

 

We acknowledged the fulfillment of the LNT requirements, but did not award the patch, except for first time achievers.

 

Looking for ideas and opinions.

We have done the same thing in our pack, that is present an award once, and recognize the award (or belt loop) on subsequenet occurrences of the award being earned. We invite parents to purchase multiple belt loops, if they like, but he pack only buys the award the first time.
