JillKB
I have a 1988 Webelos Den Activity book in which they talk about making a coupstick as a Craftsman project. It is 1 1/2" by 12" and you notch it to hang leather thongs and add beads, etc. for attendance and advancement, etc. But the book doesn't give any pictures or instructions. Does anyone have more detailed info and more specific instructions? Thanks! Jill
Nike
Here is a link to a coup stick project. http://www.usscouts.org/ab/ab2.cgi?action=view_activity&a_id=56 If you google "coup stick" in images, you'll get some good pictures of what Plains Indian coup sticks looked like. Good luck, and I am going to suggest this to my son's Tiger Den. Boys love collecting odd bits of stuff with personal totem meanings.
SctDad
I also saw one in the How-To Book. I was thinking about these myself
