Heelys - Shoes with a wheel in the heel

Half the new Scouts showed up from Webelos wearing these things last month. I tried a more subtle approach:

 

I told the new guys the Heelys are fine with me (white lie: I can't stand them) but they are allowed at Scout meetings only with the proper protective gear -- helmet, knee and elbow pads. At the same time I started a backfire with the SPL who had a few older guys mention that Heelys are an elementary school thing and aren't considered cool by the guys in the troop.

 

Week 2: No Heelys!
