ilovmy3kidz
I am looking for the official guidelines for various cub awards and am stumped that they are not on bsa website (scouting.org). things like the 75th, cub scout outdoors, etc. why are these not listed? i can find them on various council or pack websites, but not "officially" if you know what i mean? should i call my council? as my son likes to earn all the extra stuff i try to keep up on this, and have set up a binder for our pack with information like u.s. heritage award, emergency preparedness, etc. for others. also, why does www.usscouts.org not work? theysawyoucomin'
Your Council office should have this item. Our council office has many of them. It is an envelope chocked full of diferent ways to earn patches; individual, pack, adult etc. In my opinion it is a bit overblown. Though I like the pocket flap for outdoor stuff. If you are at you wits end call Twin Rivers council in Albany NY they will probably send one.518 869 6436
Laurie
Many of them are on National's site. Go to: http://www.scouting.org/ Then choose "Cub Scouts" in the menu to the left. Then choose "Awards" in the next menu, also to the left. You will see 75th Anniversary, Cub Scout Outdoor Award, Emergency Preparedness, and a few more. Hope this helps. Laurie
Correction (couldn't go back to edit): choose "Cubmaster or Adult Leader", then "Awards", in order to get to the page I described.
