FScouter
Are there any BSA guidelines as to what positions there should be in the pack committee? There is a Troop Committee Guidebook that is very good at defining what each troop committee position is and what the responsibilities are. Is there anything similar for pack committee member responsibilities?
P_Swigs
To register, at least to get Quality Unit, you must have a Committee Chair and two committee members. The responsibilities they hold can be flexible, but one is usually the treasurer.
eisely
You have a lot of latitude in defining committee positions to suit your local needs and capabilities. Common positions for a pack committee might include treasurer, recording secretary, advancement chair, and training chair.
mschwartz
Here are the general positions on our Pack Committee: Chair, Cubmaster, Advancement, Treasurer, Publicity, Newsletter/Webmaster, and then we generally have one or two "Members At Large". Currently we also have an Assistant Cubmaster on the Committee. Hope this helps!
sctmom
The Cub Scout Leader Handbook has the description of each committe member.
mschwartz
Specifically, see http://www.geocities.com/~pack215/pc.html - part of the Virtual Cub Scout Leader's Handbook (a great resource)!
CLangenhop
Our Committee has two sections: Operations and Communications. Operations includes the Advancements Coordinator, Treasurer, Good Works Chairperson, and Pack Trainer. Communications includes the Webmaster, Newsletter Editor, Pack Historian, and Public Relations Agent. We have monthly committee meetings and the Charter Rep and Cubmaster also attend.
