Letter From Camp

Every year, I come up with a letter for the Scouts in my Troop to send home. It goes something like this.

 

Hi,

I am having (fun, gas, weird dreams).

My tent is (burning, clean, in the lake).

 

 

I think you get the idea. This is getting a little tired & I am looking for any suggestions to iprove on this letter. Th only problem is the Troop is leaving for cam this Sunday (7/7/2002) and I am leaving for camp on Saturday (7/6/2002).

Check out www.scoutorama.com (look for the "Mad Lib" title on the left side) and there is a fill in the blank type letter that is fun for all. The first time I did it, the troop thought it was great. It talks about the flood, learning to drive, lost scouts, and going to town for more ammo. first time I've tried this, so here goes. Here is our letter that we use every summer. At mid-week (Wed or Thur) guys are required to take 10 minutes after lunch and fill it out, draw a picture, and address an evelope home (addressing is the toughest, what do they teach in school?).

The Senior Patrol Leader gave me this letter and said that he knew I wanted to mail it to you (how did he know that?). Oh well, here goes ...
