Glenn
Lucky for me, this holiday and Sweetheart's Day are not celebrated in my family (other than my youngest at school). YAHOOO!

Chief Decorah
Thanks for the reminder, DD, but you didn't tell me when it is. Please let me know how much time I've got so I don't miss it.

OldGreyEagle
Just so you dont think I have gotten soft dad, and far be it from me to pick on one of your postings, but..... I do think it was rather sexist to single out gentlemen. Dont the ladies have to take care of the men? In a brave new equal rights world concocted by the feminists, men derserve our share of chocolate, not in the shape of hearts, but of hammers and power tools(This message has been edited by OldGreyEagle)
Bob Russell
I suspect my wife and I celebrated Valentine's Day as many scout families did. Rushing home from work, I gave her yellow roses, her favorite, then we quickly ate dinner before she and our daughter left for Girl Scouts and I flew out the door late for Roundtable. All back by 10pm to exchange cards. Isn't romance something?

The way I see it, mines taken care of me for some eighteen years and change, I dont know any reason why I cant take care of her on these little special occasions. Shes earned it!
