orconnie
Has anyone recently bought tents for their Troop? We are in need of a few new tents. The model we previously bought from Eastern Mountain Sports(EMS) now has a full vestibule rather than a overhang over the door . That may be great for some but not a good choice for us since we are in South Florida, unless we want to cook some of our scouts.
Troop22
We are in Virginia and our summers also hot and humid (yours are a little warmer). We stick with Colman equipment. The price is right and they will stand behind their equipment. We may not have the fanciest equipment but the Scouts stay dry for a lot less money. eagle90
You can't go wrong with Eureka equipment. We use the Timberline Outfitters, some of which are over 20 years old. If you treat them right, they will last and last. Dale
orconnie
We were thinking about the Timberline, I had one for years. There is a new design Timberline SQ but those are really pricy
Eagle92
ALPS Mountaineering has a scouter program. Sign up here http://alpsmountaineering.com/tinc?key=fMP5s2XV&formname=ScoutRegistration Also CAMPMOR has a program too. I'm a Eureka fan. Got my 11y.o. tent still. Troop had 20 yo Eurekas.
