917917
A very good 5 day wilderness canoe trip is with Goshen Boy Scout Reservation doing a 5 day trip on the Upper James River Water Trail. The trek is 61 miles in total and is propablly the best and most remote 5 day trip in the State of Virginia. There are plent of fun rapids (Class I-II) to keep things interesting. The trip includes with a section called "Balcony Falls" and a Class III rapid that can be portaged. The trip ends at the Appalachian Trail. (You could end do a combination canoeing/backpacking version of the 50mile) The details are below if any one is interested. Eagle92
Welcome Dan, So how about a little more information on yourself and sit a spell, instead of just plugging a program? Because if all we wanted to do was plug programs here, then I would have to mention soemthing about PAMLICO SEA BASE http://www.pamlicoseabase.org/ PSB offers a 7 day kayaking trek, 9 day kayaking trek, Sailing Adventure, Sailing School, Fishing trek, Outer Banks Adventure, and ...wait for it...JET SKIS for those who meet prerequisites.
