Knight
If you have the interest in going as far as northern Georgia, there are outstanding state parks there that are extremely good for families. Our family has gone many times camping in cabins and tents.
GKlose
Delaware Water Gap national park? I did some quick looking into this for our troop; while I haven't been there, I've been told there is incredible beauty there. Found a couple of different places to stay, including one with rustic cabins. You could even hike a section of the A-T while there.
kenk
We've had very good luck with Jellystone parks. They tend to lean toward families and youngsters more than many. The directory is at http://www.campjellystone.com
