The Scouts Outdoor Cookbook is Out!

Hey everyone,

 

I just wanted to let you know that The Scout's Outdoor Cookbook is out! Big thanks to all of you who contributed your favorite recipe to this project. The book is truly an awesome collection of recipes, thanks entirely to our contributors. We have over 300 recipes in the book, all fully tested, from over 180 Scout leaders. All of the recipes are yummy, many award winning!

 

Scouting Magazine will be giving our book away in their 2009 recipe contest, so look for it there. The book is also available through the BSA catalog.

 

As some of you may know, we donate a portion of our royalties to various causes. In this case, we are creating a scholarship fund for boy and girl Scouts who do something exemplary for one or more of the National Trails. Look for this scholarship to materialize in 2009 at the partnership's website: www.nationaltrailspartnership.org

 

I am also going to be at the "Partnership for the National Trails" booth at the GSUSA conference this October. We will be giving away free copies of book every hour, plus lots of interesting information about the National Scenic and Historic Trails.
