pineapple
Not sure which forum this belongs in, but this seemed like a good start. Is anyone here familiar with Washington state's Camp Sheppard? It's a BSA winter camp and a High Adventure base in the summer. I've been going every winter for the past 4-ish years with my troop, and this last weekend will probably be my last trip as a Scout, because of my early January birthdate. Anyway, my reason for this topic is thus: They have a specialized meal/grace poem, called the Pacific Northwest High Adventure prayer or something similar, and it's even written above the fireplace in the dining hall. I seem to have forgotten it. I can't find this particular prayer/poem anywhere on the internet, and I'd really like to have it! I know the last two lines go like this: "for food and strength to journey there, we give our thanks to God." If anyone could help me out with this it'd be really super. SheppardPD
Hi there, my name's Rob and I'm a Trek Leader for the High Adventure program at Sheppard. The grace goes as follows: For fellowship and sunshine fair, For meadows where no boot has trod, For moonlit heights and starry night, For food and strength to journey there, We give our thanks to God. On the behalf of myself and the rest of the staff, thank you for your interest and support and hopefully we will see you up at the camp again soon! Live the challenge!
