yarrow
I have looked at the site for this award but couldn't find an answer to my question. Do you have to earn the Bronze patch then the Bronze award then the Silver Award? That would entail 9 projects which seems like a lot. Or can you just work on one of the awards? slontwovvy
No, yarrow, you just need to work on one of the awards. There is no hierarchy or ranks within the Hornaday program. Good luck to whomever (you or someone you know) is attempting this.
andrews
Could one of the projects also be an Eagle project? Or do they need to be separate? Most of the examples seemed like decent Eagle projects, at least in concept. Brad
Mike Long
No I'm afraid not. The only thing an Eagle project is for is to earn Eagle Scout. But yes, I agree, the projects could be good Eagle projects.
k9gold-scout
There is one exception; Eagle Projects in conservation can receive either the "Hornaday Unit Citation" or the "Conservation Good Turn Award". Each councel should have a Honaday Award Councelor who will help guide scouts through the process.
yarrow
Go to the Hornaday Award site. An Eagle project may count toward the award as long as it falls into one of the project catagories for the Hornaday award.
Mike Long
Hmmmm...... Used to not be that way. Thanks for the info.
