mds3d
Is everyone treating these new uniforms like the ODL uniforms as far as patch placement goes. I have a physical copy of the Insignia guide that refers to the Centennial and classic(ODL) uniform and wanted to make sure we were just going back to the sleeve patch placement I grew up with. Eagle92
I do not beleive an updated printed IG has come out, but I could be wrong. I know the online version is teh ODL uniform. This link has links to most of the BSA's uniforms listed: http://www.scoutstuff.org/retail/docs/uniform-inspection-sheets They do not have Sea Scout uniforms listed though. eaglescout1996
Everyone I know is treating them the same. The polywool's never had the "smokes" pocket and everyone has treated them the same.
AJR2305GDC
According to the 2008 printing of the Boy Scout/Varsity Scout uniform inspection sheet (#34283), there are patch placements for both the ODL and CU. If there is a pocket on the sleeve, the trained patch goes on the flap of the pocket; if there is no pocket, the trained patch goes below the POR. emb021
I have a published copy of the "Insignia Guide". (it may be the last one) It shows 2 different sleeve placements for the Centennial uniform (ie the one with the sleeve pocket) and the ODL and I guess the new uniform (ie the ones WITHOUT the sleeve pocket). This is important, as the placement of the office patches, trained strip, and commissioner arrowhead will change depending on whether or not the uniform as a sleeve pocket or not.
