UCEagle72
So I see the new Scoutstuff web site went live - http://www.scoutstuff.org/ -- looks better, but it appears to be a bit "underpowered" as just changing pages is s-l-o-w.
Oak Tree
I agree - the new look is nice and modern. Some of it seems to update pretty well, but other page changes took a long time for me. Probably some optimizations to be done there.
eaglescout1996
Thanks for the head's up. I tried to get on about 8:45am EST and the site was down.
shortridge
Still dragging, and poorly organized, as the other thread points out. It's also interesting to note that I can publicly claim to be a member of the 1910 Society - supposedly for those who make gifts of $25,000 or more to a local council endowment - by just paying 149.99 for a lapel pin with embedded sapphire. Pins with other precious stones, however, are restricted items. I guess sapphires just don't carry a big lapel pin cachet.
BartHumphries
You can publicly claim whatever you want -- having an identical patch/pin made is easy-peasy. 1st point, though, a Scout is trustworthy. I think they mostly make "restricted" those things that might be easy for a parent to buy since they don't really understand what it is they're buying for their child like OA stuff, Eagle stuff before they actually finish the Eagle paperwork that's sat around for the past two years after finishing every other Eagle requirement...
