mmallin
Hello forum, I have reviewed the requirements for both the Scouter's Key and Scouter Award of Merit programs and they both mention the Scoutmaster. Can both of these forms of recognition also be earned by an Assistant Scoutmaster or does only the Scoutmaster himself qualify. Thanks for the insight! AG_Scouter
I thought I understood the question. But just to be safe I went and checked my sources. Perhaps the best resource was the online Scouter Magazine article. First, I learned that "The Scouter Award of Merit" has been replaced with "The Unit Leader's Award of Merit". It is for primary leaders of the unit. Cubmaster, Scoutmaster, Coach & Advisor. Second, "The Scouter's Key" is for the Scoutmaster while "The Scouter's Training Award" is for those that are not Scoutmasters. http://blog.scoutingmagazine.org/2009/08/knot-of-the-week-scouters-key.html Hope this helps.
