Eagletrek
If they really want this position filled, maybe there should be a square knot.
briantshore
Does anyone know what the job is about? Do they take away from the Pack Trainer the job of a orientation session for the parents of the new cub scouts?
Buffalo Skipper
My WAG would be that it is a committee type position which would be a job of sorts (coordinate an activity, transportation, interact with a school for meeting space, etc). It really doesn't look like an "official" position patch--the style is all wrong. Or prehaps it is a local thing. I have certainly seen nothing "official" on this. More info can be found here http://www.cvc-bsa.org/join/scoutParents.html Here is the announcement in this months Scouting Magazine, http://www.scoutingmagazine.org/issues/0809/a-meet.html
click23
Although I agree it is not what we are used to, it does have correct the ScoutParents logo which it seems they are trying to get out there. Look at what they have done with some of the recent uniform knots, I would not have thought that they were offical if I didn't know they were. infoscouter
I noticed when I read the article in the magazine, and this thread reminded me. There is a statement which says that training is available online. Has anyone found this yet? I haven't seen it in the Online Learning Center. Maybe it's on the ScoutParents site? click23
The patch that I linked above is what it is going to be. My scout shop has them in stock, item number 18099.
