gaucho
I have seen different people wearing a red and white "wilderness first aid" strip in various locations on their uniform. Is there a particular place to put it? Is this particular to our council or is it general patch that different people wear? It almost appears that it could go above the right pocket like an interpreter strip. Anybody know what I am talking about?(This message has been edited by gaucho)
scoutldr
Never seen one, but I'm guessing it's a non-BSA patch. The only "legal" place to wear it would be as a "temporary" patch ON the right pocket, if at all.
Eagletrek
Forgive me from deviating off the topic but is there a "legal" strip for Leave No Trace? I ask, because during a recent event I attended, I spied someone wearing a LNT strip above his BSA strip.
AlFansome
Nope...no strip above the right pocket for LNT. The inspection sheets and insignia guide are pretty clear about what goes above the right pocket and that isn't there. A Scouter can wear the round LNT emblem/award ON the pocket if they earn it, but not above.
FScouter
The right pocket is reserved for Scouting patches, not whatever anyone wants to put there.
gaucho
My main question for it was that it is sponsored by the council here (class is at the council service center) and it being a requirement for Philmont treks. http://old.scouting.org/philmont/2008firstaidrequirements.pdf I was wondering if it was standard patch or not. Apparently it is not or is not yet.
