OldGreyEagle
Ladies and Gentleman, my first inclination is to delete GW's last comment but as we know censorship is a hated thing. How many tire of GW's cracks and would like him to stop and how many dont think its really all that a big deal?
Gold Winger
Funny isn't it? How some can continually preach about "Scoutlike" behvavior and can chastise with impunity but when one of those conducts himself improperly and is called on it, the person that points out the bad behavior is chastised. I guess that it pays to be special.
Bob White
Hi OGE I do not think it is realistic to think that he would stop on his own regardless of the outcome of your poll.
Eamonn
" How many tire of GW's cracks and would like him to stop and how many dont think its really all that a big deal?" I for one am fed up with the wise cracks and snide comments. As far as it being a big deal or not? I have received PM's from other Forum Members asking why he is allowed to get away with behaving as he has been? The shame of it all is that at times some of his postings do have merit. My hope is that he will quit with the wise cracks. Eamonn.

Gold Winger
I'm being talked about. Both publicly and behind closed doors. Hmmmmm. . . . makes me feel SPECIAL! BTW E, all of my postings have merit, you just can't see it.
GernBlansten
I say don't censor his remarks. Barring obscenity or physical threats, give him his soap box to allow him to define his character to us. Those of us who do not wish to be entertained, can simply ignore him. Those of us who need constant reinforcement of the opinions we have drawn about his character, can continue to read it. FireKat
Sometimes the comments bug me as I may be a bit rushed and it feels like he is wasting time. Some are funny, some just don't make much sense. I just wonder what is bugging him to make most of his comments negative. And when GW is serious he has some good points.

Gold Winger
What bugs me? Hypocrisy. Sanctimony. Political correctness. Change for the sake of change. Capitalists selling our county's future for immediate profits. Socialists wanting to tax us into oblivion to pay for those who aren't willing to work. FScouter
Its been said that a person reveals his personality through the comments made in the forums. After several years of this I think GW has sufficiently revealed his character. This kind of bickering and poking and banality is kinda like BO. Yeah maybe person has a right to stink if he wants to, and the rest of the public has not much choice but to put up with it. At some point though you ask yourself why hang around a place that stinks? At what point should folks decide to tell the guy to take a bath, or move on? I agree with Eamonn in hoping the anti-social behavior will stop, but after several years of hoping, I doubt he will stop on his own volition. SWScouter
Personally, I think GW was being an ass. But that's just my opinion.
Gold Winger
Hey moderator! He said "ass"! I got moderated when I said "freaking". Come on, fair's fair. Or is it? FScouter, several years?
scoutldr
Over the years, there have been several incarnations of GW. But it seems to me the same person is always on the other side of the bickering. Just an observation. Takes 2 to tango. Am I offended? Naw...I just don't take the bait and run with it. As my office-mate once told me..."without them, we'd just be 'average'"... GernBlansten
FScouter, That's the beauty of the ignore button. I don't use it, but others do. If you find a posters BO to be objectionable, then ignore him. I for one can handle a few whiffs of BO, but if I'm caught stuck behind a very stinking one on a narrow trail, I might take a break to let him get far ahead. I quit responding to GW posts simply because I don't want to be drug down to his level. He's baited me down there a few times and I regretted following him. I'd much rather soar with you turkeys
