click23
#10-B Silver Fawn Award Same knot as the Silver Beaver "In 1969, a study was conducted by the BSA on the subject, "Awards for Women." One of the results of this study was the creation of the "Silver Fawn Medal." It was introduced in 1971 for use at the council level and was designed to be the women's equivalent of the Silver Beaver Award, which since 1931 had gone to male Scouters who had made outstanding contributions to Scouting at the local council level." from http://www.geocities.com/~pack215/silver-fawn.html
ASM915
30) ?Como Esta Usted? How about the Vale La Pena Award for scouting service to the Hispanic communities. The knot is a blue and yellow knot with the yellow overlapping the blue, on a red field. All the animals have been found, but there is one more cultural one hiding out there. Beavah
Yah, OK, I'll take a harder one. Da William H. Spurgeon award for outstanding leadership or contributions to Exploring. Gold knot on green. While the award still exists in the Learning for Life division, the knot for use on the traditional scouting uniform was discontinued when Exploring was spun off with LFL in 1998. Only traditional scouters who earned the award before the spin-off are permitted to wear the knot on the uniform. The award could also be earned by organizations as well as individuals. Beavah
Yah, OK, one more.... There's some confusion over religious award knots. Da youth religious award knot was submitted as #15 (silver knot on purple), but marked as adult. Da adult religious award knot (purple knot on silver) should be added. ASM915
For the Medal of Honor #24, there is also one for the Medal of Honor with Crossed Palms (Very Rare). There is another one that only deranged Eagles who liked Okpik training and have an affinity to the movie Happy Feet can get. Just think "Damned penguins raided my hot chocolate supply again". I can't remember the knot colors, but it is/was on a lite purple background.
