click23
One more pack training award that I know of. The "Happy Feet Award", now that is a rare one. Anyone know if is really official knot, or a third party knot for meeting a set of requirements?

GNX Guy
As I recall, the Sea Badge knots are actually 3 separate knots, 1 for Completing Sea Badge 1 for staffing Sea Badge 1 for Sea Badge Course director for a total of 3 different knots. emb021
"the Sea Badge knots are actually 3 separate knots" Actually, National only issues one official knot. Its got a small trident in blue on a gray background, and frankly, the 'knot' is slightly larger then all the other knots. Others have put out much nicer Sea Badge knots that are the right size, with larger tridents on white, tan, navy blue, and green for the different uniforms, and with 1, 2, and 3 tridents. As there are several Sea Scout people at a National level who put these out, these could be considered 'semi-official'.
Beavah
Hmmm.... goin' back over da list, it seems we mentioned this one in #2 but never included it in the list. Explorer Scout Ranger Award (green and brown on kelly green background).
click23
That was the obsolete exploring award that I mentioned. Another one is the old Den Leader Coach Award. Two more left(that I know of), the previously mentioned "Happy Feet" Award, and an OLD Sea Scouts adult award.(This message has been edited by click23)

ASM915
Everyone duck!!! The Okpik and Happy Feet references that flew over most heads were to clue people in on verrrry cooold weather, and hopefully someone would put two and two together to come up with the Antarctic Award Knot. I don't know if it is obsolete, or if the luck Eagle that gets chosen to participate in the yearly Eagle Scout Antarctic Program can still get and sport the knot on his uniform. Okay, how about bygone Merit Badges that have vanished or been merged into other merit badges?
click23
This site has a lot of information on award knot history.http://www.crowl.org/George/ Two that are not knots, but go in the same place are the Hornaday Badge(only Hornaday Medal recepaints wear the knot) and the current Ranger bar.
