click23
I am trying to compile a list of current issued youth awards that are represented by a knot. Here is what I have so far: Arrow of Light Eagle Scout Heroism Award Honor Medal James E. West Fellowship Award Medal of Merit Order of the Arrow Distinguished Service Award Quartermaster Award Venturing Leadership Award Venturing Silver Award William T. Hornaday Medal Youth Religious Emblem And from what I can tell the William T. Hornaday Badge can be worn with knots. If you have any others please let me know Robert
SWScouter
Perhaps I'm worrying too much about semantics, but several of the knots you list are not for youth awards but are awards that can be earned/recieved by both youth and adults. Others are earned as youth but worn as adults. Others still are earned as youth and worn by youth and adults. So, what are you trying to list: Knots that represent awards that only youth can earn, e.g., Arrow of Light, Youth Religious Emblem, and not Medal of Merit. Knots that a youth can wear, e.g., Heroism award and not Arrow of Light. SWScouter
click23
I am looking for every award that a youth can receive and wear as a knot on an adult uniform, so that will include (1)awards only for youth worn by adults and youth, (2) awards for youth and adults, and (3)awards for youth that the knot can only be worn by adults. Examples: 1. Youth Religious Emblem 2. Honor Medal 3. Eagle Scout Robert(This message has been edited by click23)
jr56
Sounds like your list is pretty complete to me.
John-in-KC
Have you thought of purchasing a Uniform Guide and looking at the rules for each knot? Here's a url to help you do your research: http://www.usscouts.org/awards/knots2.html(This message has been edited by John-in-KC)
click23
John, I used both of those sources to come up with my current list. Just wanted to post it here to make sure it was complete and I did not miss anything. Thanks Robert
