Making my first neckerchiet

A full 32 inch square one, color is a good match to the red on the uniform. It was 36" square at first but that had the tails down to my navel.

Cloth is a little heavier than I wanted but since this one is for cool weather wear thats okay and it will be plenty strong.

Rolling it was a trick till I grabed two 3/16 rods outa the shop and rolled the neckerchief around them, Guess I will have to break down and buy an iron now.

I fill a 2XL shirt and it seemed long enough. Next one will be a triangler 32 or 33 inch one for summer wear.

Checked my neckerchiefs that have been in my Scout stuff box since 1975, the Cub one is 28", the Webelos and troop ones were 30" and only the OA lodge one measured 32", barely.
