Koda
Our venturing crew was recently presented with a patch from our chartering organization. This is a great 3"x3" patch showing the CO's logo. We don't want to place it as a temporary patch because it's anything but temporary. It looks best on the right sleve, where a patrol patch on a Boy Scout would go. Is there any official placement for a charter organization's patch?
emb021
No. There really isn't any provision to wear a CO patch on a BSA uniform. There is a provision for Venturing Crews to create a 'crew crest' to go on the right sleeve. This patch is supposed to represent the Crew, NOT the CO, btw. There are some rules on this patch, which are given in the Venturing Reference Guide.
Kahuna
Our Ship used the sponsoring battleship ship's patch as our Ship patch on the right sleeve. It's a little different situation, since it also represents the Sea Scout Ship name.
AK-Eagle
Just another wild idea from this Alaskan, how about sewing the patch on to a unit neckerchief? AK-Eagle
