Patrol Patches

I need help, anyones help. I am the Scout Master of Troop 552 in Blaine, MN and I have a patrol of 1st year boys and they decided to pick a patrol name that the BSA does not have a patrol patch for "Silver Arrows". I have been searching since last March to find them a patrol patch but short of having one custom made with a minimum Qty of 100 (I have 8 boys). Does anyone have any idea where I can get a Patrol Patch with a "Silver Arrow" on it?

Short of a special order, the only thing I can suggest is to look for the "blank" patrol patch that the BSA used to sell. It was a simple white, or biege, background upon which the Scouts could "draw" their own design. I never used one, but I know it used to exist. Permanent markers would have to be used so as to not come out in the wash.

You might find someone with an embroderiery machine that could put the emblem on the blank patches. There are companies that do the embroderiery on T-shirts. Also, some people who sew or quilt have such machines. Find local fabric stores and quilt shops.

Blank patches work great for this ...

My son was in a patrol that had the same issue. One of them drew up what they wanted their symbol to look like - then my wife painted them onto the blanks using standard acrylic craft paints. They came out great and have withstood the test of camping and multiple washings.

Silver Arrows ought to be easy enough - they even make metallic paint!
