Yes, I am registered in a troop. I've been an Assistant Scoutmaster for 3 years (I turn 21 tomorrow) and so, I qualify to earn the Hornaday Award. I've talked to the advancement chairperson and volunteer services in my council and they don't know anything about the Hornaday Awards. I have tried contacting the conservation committee but they haven't responded. Since I am a Venturer and over the age of 18, I cannot earn merit badges. In place of the merit badges, I have to complete the ecology and plants and wildlife portions of the Venturing Ranger Award (Which I have earned and completed those two requirements) and write a research paper on each of the four conservation projects. In all, I have written a 40 page report detailing all of the information on my projects. As of now, there isn't a date set on a board of review panel and I turn 21 tomorrow. Does that mean I am too late to earn the Award because of my age? Or can I still receive my award after I am 21?
