Look in the Scout Handbook, it refers to how patrols should try to recruit to grow.

We where able to watch these ad at a roundtable, they where very cool! They where only going to be ran off hours (non Prime time) between 3 and 5 in the morning, becuase of $. If someone out their could come up with the $ go they could be ran on prime time, that would be most excellent!

Foxes can adapt to diverse climates and habitats They are swift, agile runners; the red fox can reach a speed of 48 km/h The great alertness of the red fox, and its keen senses of smell, hearing, and sight sounds like a perfect scout to me! foxy, sly, shy, beatuiful, smart, cunning Tallyho! -
Is this the role of the troop committee?

Bob After reading your message I wonder how many other common mistakes/old habits are being made at this Wood Badge course! I do beleive that most posters also use acronyms when speaking, not just when posting. It took me 6 months of asking what is that to learn about 1/2 of them. Cannot wait for the next class of common mistakes/old habits. -

Bob You said I'm surprised that would be allowed on a Wood Badge ticket. There is no such thing as a Class A , or Class B uniform. This has been discussed in previous strings. There is a Field Uniform and an Activity Uniform. So are you telling me during my Wood badge training when the Patrol Leader said the Scoutmaster said we could change into Class Bs they where incorrect? The uniform we could change into was scout pants or shorts, scout socks, and a T-shirt that had a reference to scouts on it. Are you telling me that my Wood Badge training is not following BSA methods? The point I am trying to make here is that in my humble opinion you are getting hung up on the words. Look at the actions to make sure they are correct and take some words with a grain of salt. If I am correct there is no info on what an activity uniform is, so it can be almost anything that the troop wants it to be, correct? I could pick apart many post that do not follow BSA wording, such as using acronyms for training courses and troop positions such as PL, SPL, PLC, WOLT, the only one I have every seen shortened in BSA paperwork is BALOO -
All I gave was a town! Once you reqeister a domain name, it is all avaialbe to anyone, He was at least smart enough to put a PO Box. I refrained from putting in the Box Number or phone number, I may have stepped on the line, I did not cross it.

Unless the class is being hurt by intreputions. sctmom Great story! Tell you son dan said to keep it up! That should confuse him! Whos dan mom?

1. Bob is attacking (I mean this in the nicest way ) some peoples ideas of how scouting should be ran. Remember these are volunteers doing what they think is the correct way to do scouting. I look on this as constructive criticism, something we all need, to improve and grow. But he is also like a pit bull that will not give up, which really seems to rub people the wrong way, that he will not 2. When Bob post something I do not agree with I look it up to make sure he is correct. (he will even tell you where to find the answer if you ask) Well I have only found him to be INCORRECT one time, well at least incorrect in my mind! He can follow his talk up with documentation.

Ed You need to get a refresher in YP. It was a sexual encounter! Hindsight being 20/20 I would have sent the scout home, suspended him and report it to the CO and let them decide what to do.

I am a FOX. The 1st weekend was more than I had hoped for! I belive that I may have gotten a little more insight into what a scout is going through. Sitting at a picnic table trying to put together a rough draft of my ticket, thinking I do not really want to do this i want to go talk to other scouters and solicalize, I thought back to summer camp and the scouts working on merit badges, , than I thought that that is what most boys are thinking while they are going some kind of paperwork for a merit badge! Now I have to go work my ticket! I thought I wanted to be a bob white, just because I am 6'4" and 230 lbs. But now I have to say a Fox is better Fox Don -
So, about this ticket thing...
dan replied to OldGreyEagle's topic in Wood Badge and adult leader training
buffalo2 Just finished the 1st weekend of WB, I did not see anything different geared for Cub versus Boy Scouts. The only difference I see at this point is the tickets that you will work on. The topic of singing for lost items did come up! Our Troop leader said that this may happen if you flag is "lost" I got a little obonixous at this point and said I WILL NOT SING FOR A LOST ITEM! This was 2 hours into the 1st day, my patrol had a look on their faces like OH Boy what kind of loose cannon do we have here! The Patrol guide looked at me and said what cant you sing? I stated that I have no problem getting up and singing, but I would never expect a scout to do that it is hasserment! I have a feeling that the staff had a long dicussion about this! Our patrol flag was "lost" while my patrol was taking the flags down after dinner. This was after the patrol guide said that this would not happen. Boy did this cause quite an uproar, But I beleive that the staff handled this very well to explain that this should not happen and why. They did a very good job of changing that tradition in 2 days! They turned a negative into a positive. Foxes are Sly, Tallyho. -
Try here to order them www.scoutstuff.org Link supplied by Bob White.

Did this at a pack meeting, but could be used at a Court of Honor, by a scout doing a service project. Cost of entry to into the pack meeting was one can of food. Which was given to the local food pantry. (of course if someone forgot they where let in!) We collected about 6 boxes of food. This was at the December pack meeting. At a December Court of Honor a Scout requested baby items (diapers, powder, rattles, formula) Which was place under the Xmas tree at the COH.

fscouter your way would attack the issue and not the real underlying problem.
-
Thanks I will pick up that manual. I have looked on the web for this and could not find it. If someone knows where it is please share with me.
-
Fscouter Yes, at summer camp I saw a troop that wore the campaign hat. It was not a good look. The other leaders and I agreed that there was no way the boys selected that hat!
-
I have not seen the FCFY tracking sheet so I got the form number out of the scoutmaster handbook, give it to my wife asked her if she could pick it up from the council office, they did not have it and they said no one had every asked for it before. The finally found one with a date of 1995 on it. ARRGGHHH!
-
The scout handbook says that the hat and Kneckerchief is a TROOP option. Notice it said troop and not scout. I say this is one time the troop has an option on this policy.
-
That not scoutlike! But it made me laugh! The above is meant as humor not advice!
