OK, My girls don't eat Pop Tarts or hotdogs. Yes, they eat them cold - very gross. We make yummy dutch oven meals. I cook anything and everything in my Dutch Ovens which is why they asked me to do this class. I will be at a station where groups will rotate through every 30-45 minutes. I am actually looking for some fun and simple things that will catch the attention of other leaders and girls. The Girl Scout camp usage in our area is very, very low partly because the leaders are uncomfortable "camping" and cooking out. I don't want to over whelm them with Dutch oven cooking since most of them don't have dutch ovens although that will be my focus, because it is my favorite. I like the idea of a box oven although I have never used one. I have never used a pie iron either. I'll also use a Coleman stove and possibly my whisperlite to demo some backpacking type meals. I also have a little Swedish Army mess kit with an alcohol stove that my children love to cook on. Also, I'd like to demonstrate some solar cooking, or at least present it as an option. That is the sort of thing that I am looking for ideas for. Basically, I'm looking for fun easy ideas. Thanks!
