Hello, In September I got my Eagle. I graduate next month, (june). I want to wear an Eagle Scout Stoll, as I feel I deserve to wear it sinc eother people can wear stolls endorsing sports and other activites. Does anyone have an idea of where I could get one or has anyone you know done this before. Please help I really want to wear this to my graduation Thank you

Well, I would like to answer every question but I have better things to do......... SO, I'm going to summarize my statements again.................... I respect your opinions and views however, I disagree with many if not most of them. Just because we do things differently then your troop(s) doesnt mean our troop is any less standing in society then yours, this is the way we do it, if you dont like it thats too Darn bad. It also works in the opposite way, if I, which I dont, like your method or the "patrol method" thats too darn bad also. Yuo arent goin to change our ways and I'm not going to change yours..........There is one goal that all scouts try to achieve EAGLE. No matter how the group is run, all scouts that go for Eagle have topass the same Board of Review. I'm not sure why this was relevant in a Scouting Message Board but, yes I'm 17 years old......................

How long has your Troop run itself like this? Our troop has been run like this for at least 25 years, not sure how it was run before because the lastets person we have that we can find that was a member of our troop became an Eagle in 1957 and thigns wer runt he same way. Have you seen any drawbacks to it? Honestly, no I havent seen any evident drawbacks to it, from the current status of our troop and the past 6 years I've been a member its all worked well. I hope you now see my point of view........

I believe what was waged here was that people disliked the ways our troop does things. That obviously didnt sit well with anyone.......

I dont think its right to start codeming my Scoutmaster, your bible AKA ht Scoutmasters Handbook, that you have "preached" from probably doesnt endorse this. I'm sorry but thats just plain wrong, ripping on someone that isnt even a member of scouter.com and hasnt joined in on this conversation.... I'm sure other people would agree, that just isnt right. That would be like me making fun of your dad about something having to do with scouts, he isnt even a user of this board and its totally irrelevant and uncalled for. I think you need to realize there ALOT and I mean alot of Troops that do it the way we do.......So just realize alot of people use this method.

We have 5 patrols and 2 Venture crews....... I write my own agenda and run it myself....... The activites are developed through a joing effort, based on what....We dont use planning meetings..... THe Activites we do are numerous......We go Camping every month, and summer camp is out of State every other year, We have been to South Dakota, Kentucky and Pennsylvania......The older scouts go on High adventure outings Like Florida Snorkleing for a week.We also do local community service projects for our Chartered organization and other local clubs like Kiwanis, etc. what I meant by that comment dan is scouting divides the boys in life from the men...Scouting teaches discipline that no other organization can other then the armed forces can teach.....Scouting truly sorts the good from the bad

I've explained our troop a number of times I REFUSE to explain it again (for lack of time and better things to do). Another point I would like to call attention to is this comment by mk9750, and I quote, "Despite the BSA logo on your uniform, if you are not using the Patrol Method, even though you understand it, I don't think you should consider yourself a Boy Scout Troop." Well from my point of view which has been stated numerous times, "If you are using the Patrol method mk9750, I dont think YOUR Troop should be called a Boy Scout Troop. I'm not sure if I shoudl take offense to that or what........But I tihnk I'll take the offensive side to that comment! Another point of offense is this comment once again by mk9750, and again I quote, "I wsh you and your Troop well. It sounds to me like you and 60 or so of your buddies have what it takes to become a real Boy Scout Troop if you put some effort into it." I like the fact that you have the right to decide whther my troop has what it takes to be a real scout troop To "BARRY": OK I will outline the Troops overall structure, or in your opionio LACK THEREOF. I.Scoutmaster A. tells SPL once to get job done II. SPL A. Gets jobs done that the Scoutmaster has designated b. I have been involved with scouting since aTiger Cub and will be completing my Eagle Project Next month. I have been to great places with scouting that I could not have gone to any other way. Remember once a SCOUT ALWAYS A SCOUT!!!!!!!!

Question, How old is your troop? and how many Eagle's have you had??????????? Well, our Troop is 52 years old and have had at least 120 Eagle Scouts SIR, how many scouts odes your troop currently have and how many Eagle's Have you had????and Remeber a scout is Honest, so dont make up a number to beat me.

Yes for your info everyone is trained.......We like to do things differently, we dont wear our Class A's Everywhere, like MANY Troops we Dont follow the Patrol Method, because Frankly its dumb. The Scouts in our Troop are very close, we work as whole not as a small sector. We have 60 kids in our troop, so obviously we are doing something right!!!!!!!!!
