  1. 1. Introduce an open collar 4 pocket bush jacket reminiscent of the 1920s uniform jacket but with shoulder epaulets. Have the color of it match the Forrest green of the pants. The wear of insignia would be the similar as the current long sleeve uniform. The buttons on the pockets would be hidden similar to the centennial uniform. 2. Keep the current short sleeve tan shirt, but reintroduce the pen pocket and open faced buttons. 3. The pants would be the same to the current switchback pants, but the stand alone shorts would be discontinued. 4. Any insignia that has a tan background would need to be updated. The square knots would stay the same as national does not offer color changes for Venturing or Sea Scouts and most scouts would wear the short sleeve uniform. Position insignia would be similar to the 1973-89 patches as well as the rank patches. Other tan dominant patches such as troop numbers or interpreter strips would either revert back to red or change color or design completely. Red shoulder loops would come back as it contrast better than green loops, limitations of wearing Jamboree loops would be removed. The Arrow of light patch would either change color or a pin would be worn in its place. 5. The way Scouts wear neckerchiefs would not change for the short sleeve shirt. When wearing the jacket if the neckerchief is worn under the short sleeve collar, then the neckerchief is worn under the jacket. If the neckerchief is worn above the collar, then the front end of the neckerchief is tucked under the jacket. 6. A greater emphasis of troop neckerchief slide would also happen. As 3d printing makes more than ever custom slides easy to make. 7. The baseball cap would be discontinued as most Scout who do wear a baseball cap usually wear a camp hat. In its stead the garrison cap would be reintroduced. Other things of note: Certain positions would have pins to wear on the collar of the jacket or the garrison hat, mainly adult positions and senior youth positions. The BSA embroiders strip would be replaced with a Scouts BSA sown-on strip similar to the one in the 70s. On the jacket if the pocket or the chest is used then either a jamboree patch or the NOA badge would be placed under the right pocket. Instead of an honor guard patch, a cord would be worn on the right epaulet.
