  1. This is for all those who believe and defend current YPT. This happened only 3 years ago.
  2. Give me background on who it will go to and an address and I will gladly double that.
  3. I have stated this before...my daughter was in girl scouts in Canada while we lived there. We had to pay $50 to get a clearance check before my wife could go on an overnight with my daughter. We gladly went to the RCMP filled out the paperwork and paid the $50. There was no exceptions.
  4. That is an absurd analogy. At little league practice and games you sit in bleachers and the players are on a field. $50 to be able to camp with your child and includes a background check and insurance is a bargain. About the same cost for cell phone service that is paid every month.
  5. There should only be one registration fee for parents who want to observe. $50 would be reasonable.
  6. If adult registration is only $50 and it includes a background check and maybe I need to buy a T-shirt and I would be allowed to go to all of the campouts no matter how long they last, be assured that every other adult that is there has had a background, plus it includes insurance then it should be a requirement for even 1 hour at a campsite.
  7. "OooI heard it thru the grapevine And I'm about lose my mind" That you are giving your lawyer 100% of the recovery?
  8. Last night prompted by this post I went to the coalition web site and viewed the two town halls for the first time that they have recorded and posted. Besides the amateurish production (even John and Doug on the lake video had better production value), the constant we have more money coming and will announce soon (but never announced), the we work hard but KR is always in his palatial estate, and the constant mumbling there is one thing which is the elephant in the room, a much not discussed conflict of interest is that when they keep saying that a yes vote is the fastest way to get money is that it is the fastest way for their prospective law firms to get money. I would love to hear KR say you will get your money quicker and so will I. Or how about you will get your small check quicker and I will get my fortune quicker!!
  9. The first part of this paragraph is a bit unsettling. @ThenNowand other adult survivors like myself are not taking camps from kids or causing higher costs rather it was the actions of sexual predators that are the cause and the neglect of the organization to put proper controls in place in a timely manner. I do like the second part of your paragraph. The second person I told of my abuse was my teen age daughter. I wanted her to know that if something had or did happen to her not to be ashamed of it.
  10. From Tim Kosnoffs Twitter account: "One more impressive thing about Judge Silverstein is that she is a hard worker. She actually read that 700 page font size 4 Plan in its entirety because she spotted the $1500 special reviewer spot reserved for Carey. I’ll bet her dog went and hid under the bed when she spotted it" "None of the overpaid bankruptcy suits raised it. She did it sua sponte. Smart, hard working, courageous and ferociously independent." "I take back every mean derogatory tweet about Judge Silverstein. She was magnificent today. She showed true judicial courage in her rulings today denying ER’s and AVA’s attempt to silence survivors and me. And she fired her former chief judge Carey as a mediator. Bravo Judge."
  11. Today I received a call from the law firm who is my representation, and it was in direct contrast to the calls that I heard from KR's firm and the coalition to their clients. I was informed that they had not received my ballot and I told her that I sent it directly to Omni. She asked if I had a receipt and I told her yes, I sent it by registered mail. She said no problem they just wanted to make sure that I voted. Not one mention from her about how I voted. If everyone could follow ethical rules this procedure would have gone faster. PS I did tell her at the end how I voted (reject) and told them to keep up the good work. Moderators I put this here since it is an issue yesterday and today in front of the judge.
  12. I think the failure down the road is a very real possibility. I think that failure will happen because the BSA will not stay relevant to young kids interests which will cause more decline in membership. It will not be the cost of membership (parents pay thousands for their kid's other interests) but what children's expectations are. They are looking for more instant gratification, they are looking for more online interactions and I do not see BSA as presently structured meeting their needs. As the current teen population who are very much into online gaming etc. move into adulthood they will see less benefit for their children to know how to start a campfire without matches etc. I already have coworkers who are in their twenties telling me how they spend time with their 8 and 9 year olds gaming with them.
  13. If what Eisenberg and his firm is doing is unethical/illegal (not sure) I wonder if a claimant or group of claimants can sue his firm?
  14. From Tim Kosnoffs Twitter EISENBERG ROTHWEILER harassing survivors who voted to Reject to change their votes. Judge needs to stop this. There is an audio recording of a call from an Eisenberg attorney calling an AVA claimant in Oklahoma who voted to reject the plan trying to persuade him to change his vote. I did not know how to copy the recording but it is shocking to hear.
  15. After almost 55 years I do not remember any of the names of my fellow scouters. But I do remember my perpetrator, how old I was and where it occurred.
  16. So are they saying they have so much roster material that they can only find 5% because it is a monumental task or that there is only 5% of claimants in their data bases?
  17. 5% seems extremely low. That would mean only about 4,250 were actually scouts. Wonder how they came to that number? If the troops have lost that number of rosters it does not look good.
  18. From my view point that it seems like a dangerous proposition for the BSA to put all their eggs in the coalition basket. With the attacks on the coalition as to the veracity of their claims even by other claimant attorneys it sure looks like something that might well back fire on them. I wonder if anyone in the BSA is having second thoughts?
  19. The TCC says they have not attended mediation talks because they have not been informed of date and times. Is this true and would it be legal to not inform them?
