66% was mentioned but emphasis was placed on the 75% figure.

I know that none of the nine are members of the are members of the firm working the case and have never heard that any of the nine are Lawyers.

My understanding is that 2% more accept voters will not make a difference. Maybe 22% but even then it may not get it thru the court system

The actual TCC is the nine members and just like they hired them they could fire them also.

It only supported the first RSA and only if the Hartford deal was not part of the settlement. They did not sign on to the last RSA.

I wonder if they are now referring to the TCC who they essentially have ignored for the past 6 months?

I wonder how the insurance companies are feeling this morning? The TCC has made it known they do not want the insurance companies to be part of the settlement unless they come up with a much more substantial offer. Tomorrows TCC Town Hall is going to be must see TV (Zoom).

TCC has withdrawn notice of deposition to Omni. Any thoughts? and now they want to depose the BSA.

Looked at the Coalition’s website no announcement of a Town Hall tonight. Wonder why?

California requires it for a drivers license application.

ID's in all forms can be copied so if you have set of fingerprints on file the fingerprints you give when renewing will give verification....correct?

So if you apply for something new or renew and you don't give a fingerprint set for identification how does anyone know it was you applying or renewing?

Not sure what the big deal here is. You give a fingerprint when you get a drivers license, when you go into the military all kinds of situations. You may even be asked to give a thumbprint when you purchase a car. Who cares I have nothing to hide fingerprint me all you want.

We should definitely know more in 3 days.

I read notice of depositions including the one from the BSA to the TCC and I agree with his assessment. Personally I am looking forward to the official vote count and I hope the offer was rejected.

One I never wrote that You or those you knew (as far as you know) may not have been abused but many were (including myself) and I also was of those who fought to keep this country free you put yourself in that light with your posts There are rules and no alcohol would be one In summation if you are not part of the solution then you are part of the problem

Why would you mock those who are trying to follow the rules of the BSA and or other organizations? How could that even be remotely scout like? The BSA has had and may still have a huge problem with Child Sexual Abuse and there are those within the organization who want more stringent controls and have the will to enforce them. Why do you appear not to be one of those?

Comparing the long term effects of sexual abuse to anguish over alcohol dependency/abuse and then saying there is a balance with good memories gives me distinct opinion that you have no idea about the long term effects of Child Sexual Abuse. Unless you yourself are a survivor please stop trying to deflect from what you post. What you posted and the subsequent posts were a trigger to at least one survivor and maybe multiple others. As far as your suspicions I wouldn’t doubt that those who are abusers have a tendency to have alcoholic and or drug abuse issues themselves. As far as for the ASM that brought the alcohol to the BSA campout I wonder what his intentions were? It was two ASM’s who brought alcohol and pornography plus who knows what else to a campout and raped myself. I hoped someone looked further into his background to see what else he may have done.

Obviously, you did read exactly what I wrote. Instead of a condemnation of an ASM who brought alcohol I read light banter about the brand and the ASM needed a better mentor to choose a better brand. You chose to make the leap. There is a poster on these forums who is a survivor (not myself but I am, and alcohol was used in my abuse) who read the original post and the subsequent posts. As a result of reading them he has suffered mental anguish because it relived his memory and caused him concern that the same situations may be occurring.

The usage of alcohol by abusers to entice victims for sexual pleasure/perversion was one of the most common methods used When I read follow on posts that came after this where only the merits of the brand and other brands are discussed but not one condemnation I wonder if this practice of taking alcohol on campouts by adults still occur.
