  1. I can confirm that University of Tennessee still has room, I've attended several conferences there with over 15,000 people. I'm assuming that University of Tennessee is now charging huge rates for conferences to be there, as they book the convention center, World's Fair Park, hire over 100 staff, place publications everywhere, etc.
  2. I'll be there serving as Newspaper-Communication Staff taking photos and writing articles for the daily paper. I actually just bought my AmTrak tickets and am really looking forward to attending my first NOAC. From my understanding, NOAC is intended to be in the central US. While Michigan isn't completely center and U of Iowa or Nebraska would be better, it's still a fantastic venue willing to cooperate with us. I think University of Tennessee, Knoxville would be as far south as NOAC would go.
  3. 2004 Jeff Hayward was from Tetonwana #105. He had a falling out with the lodge however and cut all communications relevant to the OA other than serving as a national advisor.
  4. He can as far as we're concerned. My chapter personally has a system set up to rank activity levels and leadership ability's of all candidates for chapter chief. A typical ordeal, with little experience in the OA world, typically receives a pointage of 5 or less. That is very little compared to a brotherhood or vigil member with about 120 points. With that in mind, have your son evaluate if he is capable of running the chapter. What may seem like such a good idea now may result in him being overwhelmed with paperwork, phone calls, and assignments and generally disliking the OA. Would he be willing to stand tall in his decisions even though his fellow chapter members rather loath him/it? My best advice? Have him try to take a vice-chief position for now. That will give him time to decide if he really wants to take on such a responsibility. As a current youth in the Order, I can genuinely say that if you were to ask the scouts in the chapter if they would be willing to rise to the honor of chapter chief, someone would. Thanks! callmechief Chapter Chief-Lodge Vice Chief of Activities-Tetonwana Lodge #105
