Yes, our Council is pushing that very thing.

I am sick of dealing with him honestly. I don't normally toot my own horn, in fact I am usually very self critically. I am good at what I do with Pack operations and program. There is no one else in the Pack that has taken the training and learned outside of normal training about how the program is supposed to work and try to implement that. That being said, I am going to be a parent now. It really hurts me in the heart to quit because I really enjoy my positions, but I simply won't work with him any more. -
Its just pennies a day,, other activities cost more, just sell more popcorn, have a carwash... Thats all the pig lipstick I can think of right now to rationalize the increases.

Anything your council adds is above that $66

Purple. Because reindeer dont eat hammers.

I posted in a private committee channel about the increase and was told by the CC it wasn't real if it didnt come from Council, so whatever...

I sent my DE the graphic and he called me today asking where I got it. Council is ready to release tomorrow. Going to be a huge shock to everyone that doesn't tune into the social media.

CC finally updated YPT a couple of days ago. I am not sure if it was my posting to all leaders to check their training or if it was independent of that. No matter. the fact still remains he lacks follow through and almost never shows results. I have grown tired of it. Unlike most of the other leaders, I know what is supposed to be happening and what isn't getting done. I don't need the stress of it all anymore. I asked the DE if there are any District positions or projects I might be able to help out with, but I am done working at any level with our CC. -
Facebook - BSA Family Packs/Girl Troops Page I think. Its being discussed on several pages, but I am pretty sure it was on that one. I did the screen shot myself, didnt just find the image.

Supposedly from National Communications... "I can't verify that personally"

It really looks like our CO / Pack / Troop relationship is a little different. We have been chartered by FUMC for many many years in town. I am not even sure the duration really. Our current COR (who is looking to get out of the position after a lengthly time) was a Scout and will come to events in uniform. I do have the COR in my contacts on my phone and I do text or call him directly if I need something, and he does know who I am. He also will attend committee meetings on occasion. IH- as it is in the Methodist Church they switch out pastors on a fairly consistent interval. That happened here last year. I took it upon myself as Cubmaster to invite the new IH to our Pack Thanksgiving "feast". Think potluck / Pack Meeting. He did attend and he said a few words to the Pack. I felt it was important to meet us and see a Pack event like that. Now... Our CO allows the Troop to use their van to transport the Troop to events, as we are allowed to use their gym or sanctuary if we need it. However our Scout Hut is not connected to the church and is owned by the "Friends Of".. I know.. the CO owns everything. (I'd like to see that aspect go away for sure) I am fairly new as a leader.. End of my third year now. I will be Webelos DL soon and continue as CM. So, I am not really sure of what should stay and what should go I know the application process is tedious as been mentioned.I have had to fill out new apps 2 or three times for the Pack and once when I became a Troop Committee member. I have absolutely no use for STEM in Scouts. I think the Lion program is silly and should go away, maybe Tigers. ( I started as a Wolf in the early 80s, so I think that is a good age to start) Just make Webelos - AOL a 18 month program. I have another thought, but I am reluctant to express my views on many of the volunteers I witness.

Major Changes Announced -- Councils Impacted

You mean when I ask a question from Council employees and they ignore me or when the DE ignores me or at least doesnt follow up and I have to figure it out on my own. Its going to be like that? 🤣 -

How does camp liquidation work? My local camp is not Council owned, its on Corps property. Do they sell what they can and then put the property back like it was when the camp was established? Or something else? -

So... units with different COs cant get together and do an activity because that becomes a council event? That's kinda insane. ♦ Q: If my summer camp is cancelled, can my unit get together with other units and have our own camp? No. Chartering organizations play an important role in the program and activities for their chartered units. Chartering organizations promote well-planned unit program for the units they charter and encourage their units to have active outdoor unit programs. Chartering organization are not authorized to plan, promote, and deliver programs for units outside of their charter. It is the role of the council to plan summer camps and the role of councils or districts to plan camporees and other outings during the year that give youth an opportunity to test their knowledge and skills in competitive events with other troops and/or patrols. When units with different chartered organizations do activities together, this becomes a district or council event and requires council approval. In fact, some states require such activities to be licensed. Should your troop, crew or ship decide to do a long-term summer camping program for their own unit (Cub Scouts units are prohibited from this activity) please note that the Scouter Code of Conduct and relevant program safety and training requirements are still in place, e.g., Safe Swim Defense, Hazardous Weather, Wilderness First Aid, etc.

This is "local" for me. That is Circle Ten Council. Those are the counties that could potentially attend Webelos / Cub Resident Camp beginning June 1. As stated above, our Resident Camp is still on schedule with that pool of Scouts / Adults. I still havent visited family during this, much less being around people from several counties for 3 days.
-
Exactly what I am thinking. People will be coming from several counties and co-mingle. For that matter, CJR is in Grayson County and we are having at least 10 new cases a day, so we are by no means in the clear.

Would it be inappropriate for me to call out everyone in our leadership in a committee message reminding those that have YPT expiring in the next few months so I am not singling him out? Even though he outta be singled out? And I understand this is not the job of the CM, but I tend to find things that need to be done and do them. Its my nature. -

We rechartered Dec 31 and his YPT expired at the end of March. -
I just watched the ZOOM meeting for our Webelos Resident / Cub Resident Camp starting June 7. Circle Ten Council. I was not impressed with their preparedness. Many questions answered with.. "we don't know how that will work, but we are still looking at it". They suggested everyone bring their own hand sanitizer, although I dont know where to buy that. We can't enforce social distancing with kids, so its on you to take care of your kids. "Mask" was added to the equipment list.
