Would it be permitted to hold an event where Troops compete against each other and are scored throughout the day? What would such an event be called?

I thought I had a Religious Emblems Coordinator. However, that leader is not following through with the obligation. Its disappointing.

I am in my 5th year and this is the first time someone has earned the Religious Emblem. How do we go about the actual award? Does the parent pick it up? Does the Unit pick it up? I know we will acknowledge it at a meeting, but just not sure of the logistic side of it.

Arrow of Light - Building a Better World - Requirement 4 Meet with a government or community leader, and learn about his or her role in your community. Discuss with the leader an important issue facing your community. I have the Mayor coming to my AOL Den Meeting next week. I know 5th graders arent going to have any pressing questions, BUT should Scouts only be instructed to choose to discuss important issues facing the community as long as the issue doesn't ruffle any feathers? I mean... the requirement is telling the Scout to meet and discuss issues in the community. Kinda goes against "dont get involved in political matters"

I did get a Tetanus booster., but I was just using that as an example. If the form says a Polio vaccine is required and I don't have "proof" there will be that one person that makes a big deal out of it. This is all fine and dandy for youth who have a documented vaccination record, but it wont fly at all for adults.

I think this may be the only place where people may understand. I have an AOL boy who will crossover soon. I have a 13 year girl in a new Girl Troop I helped create. Girl Troop meetings are at 6:00 and I'm there. Boy Troop meetings are at 7:30 and AOL has been welcomed by them to hang around. So one night a week I'm there for 3 hours, AOL den meetings are on another night and I'm there because I'm DL, One night a week the Boy Troop committee mtg is right after my den meeting. So I'm there 3 hours on those days. District RT once a month. Once my boy crosses over we will have once a month camping for him and my Girl in the GT. Is it bad I'm feeling like it's too much? I'd like weekends to maybe see a movie or take a day trip someplace. Every weekend we have camping we all go so it involves boarding the dog. Scouts is important but I feel like it's taking over our lives.

I ended up using the pattern in my link above. A manilla folder and packing tape.

Meeting space problems and continued virus issues

I have a meeting space problem. Too many Scouts and not enough days of the week. -
This is Pack equipment. For our purposes. I think I am going to make some of these. He suggests using a file folder. https://italianmeddiet.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/Kitchen-Knife-Sheath.pdf

By the end of the week we will be at 80 Scouts. 2 years ago going into School Night for Scouting we had 12 Scouts. Its been an interesting ride thus far.

Wow, I guess we are fortunate here. Aside from Covid stuff last year when we couldnt go in the schools, our school district is very supportive and accommodating regarding Scouting.
