10 years as a youth, 25 as a Scouter.

There are several troops' and crew's(croos')that have "Rules of Conduct". They where a disscusion at one of the district rounddtables. Ask around your council or district for the Conduct Agreements. BT

scouterfly Do you start counting the nights of camping from the date that the boy joins the troop, or do you start counting from the date the blue card was issued? I start from when he is in the Boy Scout Troop and I hope that the troop records are up to date. Right now a scout is "trying" to get the Camping Merit badge for Eagle. He is has two problems the first he is a member of "non" camping troop and he is about 5 weeks away from his 18th birthday. He has finished his eagle project.

It is 4 weeks not 44.

KA6BSA Thank you for your advice. This post is four (44) weeks old now. The crew or Croo did not go caving because the weather. The cave was flooded. There were two adults or advisers, one male and one female. Croo is sounds the same way as crew.

LauraT7 How far away is the nearest scout unit(Troop or Venture Crew) that camps?? Can you turn around the uniot that you are in. I do have material on where ot go camping or hiking in the catskills of New York. BT

If the scouts are involved in a Venture crew (which is scouts) they could be used.

As a Camping MB counselor, I am going to stand up and be counted. What do you mean you can not get 20 days and 20 nights for Camping MB? You become a scout when your 11 years old and have to day before you are 18 years old. Make sure that every camping trip with your patrol, troop and crew gets recorded. Getting the 20 days/nights is not hard; its only time consuming.

Prices???? I can not tell you about what is sold with the bsa but I put photo's on ebay. The high bidder recieces it. If you are willing to pay $100 for an 4 by 6, I will take your money. But that has never happened. BT

I am an Eagle Scout and my parents did not push me. I am every glad and happy that I did earn it. I also value it more than my High School diploma. My last year of HS and as a "youth" in scouting I move from one part of New York State to another because of a family illness (grandmother). I transferred to the local troop with only two merit badges and a serve project to do.

If the uniform is not required, then why do they make a "big" at eagle court of honors??

Speak with tactfully and say that her son is welcome but she has to work on her allude when she works with the youth and the adults of the troop

Our District does not have Roundtable geared for Venturing. What does your Council or District Do??

bufflo2, People who know me just call me BT, I went to school with 2 indivuals who had the same name as I did. So, it was easier to call me by a nickname. This weekend is there "first" camping trip as a crew or (croo).

I have heard of a scout being "multiple" beween a troop and crew or post, but not between two troops. I do no like this type of numbers game.

I can tell you what I did; I directed the money to camp endowment. This is the council camp that they run for summer camp. Do other councils do this, I can not tell you.

Should family camping count for the merit badge badge, NO. Should it cout for the OA No

I do not think that is the question. I think does its member support the Venture program.

As a Committie Member of a Local troop. I wear a uniform. as members of the committie "we" are setting an example. If we want the scouts to wear uniforms the adult leaders should. The scouts do pick up things.
