Sad News. The last few years definitely took it's toll on Mike.

To make me constantly contemplate changing Careers. But semi-seriously, right now the focus is 100% making sure youth are in a safe environment, aka youth protection.

We actually haven't been notified yet (surprise surprise). Circle Ten Council in Dallas leaked it. I imagine some of their volunteers work at National and got this information early.

Yes, we made sure they are wearing eye protection. God speed, college kids

I'd be willing to bet alot of the western region DE's are LDS. There's a reason we call BYU the DE School....they pump out professionals.

90% of their council is LDS? Sorry, but no sympathy for those guys. They've been riding easy streak their whole careers.

Insurance question? My time to shine! Here is the expert from the BSA Council Accident and Sickness insurance plan: "Only non-scouts, non-scouters or guests who are being encouraged to become Leaders or Scouts are automatically covered while in attendance at a meeting or unit activity or while traveling as a group to or from such an activity. No other guests are covered." I've heard this is only a one time use coverage too.

facilitated by a BSA professional. Well that seems odd? National Pro's are so out of touch it's not even funny, this seems like a better spot for one of the national commissioner folks. And to echo some of the other posters, Dallas ignores volunteers and council pro's all the time, what makes us think they are going to listed to what Scouts have to say?
