  1. Hello! I'm new to your forum. I run a vintage store in California and have a small amount of Scouting memorabilia here. I recently purchased a walking stick just because I thought it was cool. It had a signature on it which reads "Arthur Primmer." I didn't think much about it, assumed he was a random guy who carved the stick, but when I set out to research it I discovered her was one of the boys in Baden-Powell's first group. I found an example of his signature and, sure enough, this seems to be the same Arthur Primmer. I am trying to figure out at this point if this is just a random walking stick that he signed, or if he actually carved it. It is very well done, with a skull, a snake, and a portrait of a man with glasses carved into it. If anyone can tell me anything about this item I would sure appreciate it. I like to know as much as I can about the items in my shop, so I'm hoping someone's got some information for me. Thanks in advance!
