  1. Genesis 2:18 - 22 Then the LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him." Out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the sky, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them; and whatever the man called a living creature, that was its name. The man gave names to all the cattle, and to the birds of the sky, and to every beast of the field, but for Adam there was not found a helper suitable for him. So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh at that place. The LORD God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken from the man, and brought her to the man.
  2. Read the Bible. A day is a day, silly. If you cannot take part of it as truth, then tell me how you determine the parts that are truth and the ones that are not? In Genesis 1, God created all of the animals then he created man and woman. In Genesis 2, God created man, then because man was lonely he started making animals. Finally he made woman. Which part is true? Did the animals come first or second? Is woman just an improvement on the Irish Setter? Maybe, maybe not? Setters don't nag. :-)
  3. zorny? That's the epitome of rudeness. I>Oh, and then when you say "Tsk, tsk, tsk. Name calling and rudeness." maybe you do have a sense of humor - name calling and rudeness really have been your hallmark lately, haven't they!? if there's issues there you'd like to discuss on the side, I'm qualified. I find it interest that so many chide me for my rudeness but yet you stoop to my level. Shouldn't you rise above me, turn the other cheek, and all that? Okay DeMann, so there's a book from 1954 that goes into Hebrew law. That still doesn't address my question. Are there records from a higher court stating that the verdict was null and void?
  4. these kids will probably not have sleeping bags and camping equipment - and the troop may not have tents and stuf for awhile. Neither are the parents likely to have equipment. Old handbooks show how to improvise equipment. A couple of blankets make a sleeping bag and pad. A tarp with rope makes a tent. Heck, who can forget the directions from making a pack out of pants? I don't know if the new books include this information. Right now my son's handbook is MIA.
  5. I will give you a hint. the first trial was illegal since it was held at night. by Hebrew law, it was null and void. Do you have any evidence other than some self serving books written by the criminal's followers? Are there 2000 year old records from the court? How about some Roman records?
  6. It is a truism that whistle-blowers get the shaft in the end. Not that it is right, just a fact of our society. The perception is that you aired your family's (BSA) dirty laundry in public. If you had worked within the system, you may have gotten someone else fired and been considered a heroine.
  7. Just because a person is convicted, doesnt mean he did anything wrong is what I was trying to say, with the death row inmates as my proof. Wrong depends on the point of view. Saddam Hussein probably doesn't see much wrong in the destruction of the World Trade Center. Wallace and Henry were criminals under the laws of their countries. Your "covert operatives" are criminals plain and simple. The fact that they work for us doesn't make them any less a criminal. Christ was a criminal who was tried and executed. You probably think that OJ is a criminal and should be executed. David Koresh was executed without trial.
  8. So Zorn, while it's interesting for you, it's a waste of time for someone else? You might be unable to see the difference but reading old threads for the first time is much different than searching through them from quotes. here's another pair interestingly juxtaposed excerpts: Sarcasm must escape you, my response to him was in the same vein of his previous comments to me. I'm extending you very little courtesy, if any, but that's because you've been such an unrecalcitrant jerk lately Tsk, tsk, tsk. Name calling and rudeness. Aren't you one of those that's always talking about the Scout law (No, I'm not going to waste my time looking. that's your game).
  9. 'I AM'. By your logic, Neil Diamond is God because he hasn't been struck dead. Hey, what an idea! "The Gospel of Neil" "Neil Saves" "The First Church of Neil"
  10. Zorn, I am confused by your posts. Your previous posts leads me to beleive you suscribe to the God of the bible, you quoted the bible as well. I also have been known to quote the Koran, Jim Morrison, and Truman Capote. Does that make me a homosexual Mulsim exhibitionist?
  11. Have not read that book. Book? If memory serves, you made references to being in the Special Forces which in my mind connected the "red feather" handle to Carlos Hathcock, the most successful military sniper ever. Hathcock was called Long Tr'ang which is Vietnamese for "White Feather" because to taunt the enemy he usually wore a white feather in his boonie hat.
  12. Personal foul, 15 yds, and loss of down. An attempt to verify input into a forum is appropriate. It may be appropriate but that doesn't mean the person doing the verification doesn't have too much time on his/her hands. As long as bible thumpers thump their bibles in my direction, I will point out the silliness of their system. BTW, I've been wondering if "red feather" is an homage to Long Tr'ang, Carlos Hathcock.
  13. Oh littlebillie, you seem to have nothing to do with your time if you spend it looking for what I've said. I can see that what I wrote might be misconstrued. Let me put it more clearly, I don't base my personal philosophy on the supposed teachings of a convicted and executed criminal.
  14. Ahhhh thanks....you really cleared that up for me! I don't know what sort of education you have but if I'd be shocked if is an Engineering or Physics degree. I don't have the time or energy to give you an education in thermodynamics.
  15. I have been curious as to how evolutionist explain the fact that evolution seems to go againist the Second Law of Thermodynamics Sorry, thermodynamics really doesn't have much to do with evolution. However, if you want to stretch it, engergy is constanstly being added to the system by the sun. The sun's energy is absorbed by plants, animals eat the plants and gain energy.
