Maybe I misunderstood the previous post (was there sarcasm involved?), but just to put things straight: How can one compare the United Nations to a client?
Do you compare your elected president as your client? If this was the case you would be actually stating that the bigger taxpayers should be able to stop paying taxes or ask the president to step down whenever they disagree with one of his decisions?.... And you would call that democracy??
The UN has the following purpose:
The purposes of the United Nations, as set forth in the Charter, are to maintain international peace and security; to develop friendly relations among nations; to cooperate in solving international economic, social, cultural and humanitarian problems and in promoting respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms; and to be a centre for harmonizing the actions of nations in attaining these ends.
Also: The Organization is based on the principle of the sovereign equality of all its Members.
If one starts swinging money around, we should just forget about the UN all together... and same thing would go for WOSM...
