    In my troop, to be a PL you have to be at least 1st class. For SPL or ASPL you have to be at least Star. The only change is if one of the patrols needs a PL and they don't have anybody 1st Class, then we let a 2nd class scout be PL.

    What are your troops requirements on being SPL? In my troop you have to be at least Star rank. I know National BSA doesn't have a requirement, and that the troop shoudl set their own requirements. Im just curious about other troops requirements.

    In my troop the SPL chooses who he wants to camp with. And for the record the SPL handbook says that the SPL is not with a patrol during his term.
